What are personal data and what data we collect?

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in force from 25 May 2018, personal data and sensitive data are all information that can identify a natural person. Data from the contact form

By sending a message via the contact form, you consent to the processing of your name, phone number and e-mail address from which you sent the message. Also, we might ask you for departure and arrival airport, date of your flight and flight number. This data is necessary to contact you in order to determine the compensation due for a delayed or canceled flight, and to inform you about the actions we must take on your behalf in order to obtain compensation as soon as possible. We also store the IP address of your computer and the signature of its web browser as an aid in detecting possible spam.

Statistics analysis

We collect and analyze anonymous data on visits to our site using publicly available tools, such as Google Analytics or Facebook. Statistics allow us to determine, among others the country where you connect to the Internet; the language of your Internet browser; approximate age; gender; interests; the source from which you visited our website; duration of the visit on the site. Refunds4.me installs cookies in your browser. Cookies are text files that are stored on the user’s end device. They are intended for using website pages. They contain the name of the website of your origin, your unique number, the storage time on the end device. We collect cookies in order to prepare statistics that help you learn about users’ preferences and behaviors. Analysis of these statistics is anonymous and allows you to adjust the content and appearance of the website to the prevailing trends. Statistics are also used to assess the popularity of the website. For what purpose do we collect personal data?

The personal data provided by you is necessary to verify your claim application. We may contact you via telephone or e-mail address to ask for more details about your travel such as flight dates, route, flight numbers, flight ticket reservation number and other information that may be necessary. Based on the data provided by you, we assess the possibility of obtaining compensation from the airline.

How long do we store data?

The data received via the contact form will be kept for a period of 12 months from the time the application is verified. If, after presenting the opportunity to claim compensation, the customer entrusts us with the pursuit of claims on his behalf, personal data will be processed on the basis of a separate contract written between the parties. The metadata for website statistics is kept indefinitely.

Who do we share data with?

We do not pass your personal data to outside companies, nor do we use them for marketing purposes. We only transfer your personal data to airlines we claim compensation from, to the extent necessary to obtain compensation for a canceled or delayed flight. In the event of refusal to pay compensation, we may transfer your personal data to law firms cooperating with us in order to assess the chances of obtaining damages in court.

Security of personal data

Your data is processed in a secure manner using modern encryption technologies and data protection against unauthorized access. The servers on which we store your personal data are in no way connected to the website to minimize the risks associated with the hacker attack. In addition, access to personal data is secured by a multi-stage verification of the user to exclude the possibility of unauthorized access from outside.

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectify them and object to their processing.
